Meet Drake

Melissa at The Inspired Room is talking about 20 things that make us happy today. I'd just like to say that my number one thing that makes me happy today is my friend Trish and her son Drake. Please read this post and check out the link on the sidebar and below to read their story!

Look at this precious face! This is Drake Naylor, my dear friend Trish's son. Drake was born on August 24, 2005. He has a rare chromosome abnormality which has left him deaf/blind and severally multi-handicapped.

Shane and Trish, along with the help of several friends and family first hosted the “Drake Naylor Invitational” on May 27, 2006 for the Greensboro Cerebral Palsy Association. The goal was to raise $5,000. They raised an ASTOUNDING $53,000!!! That day was like no other for them! It showed not just their family and community, but Drake what a difference we can and do make. To date they have raised over $175,000!!!

The 4th Annual Drake Naylor Invitational is May 23rd and the goal is to make this the best year yet!
