Hanging with the Nester!!!!!!!!

Me and the Nester with my awesome tassel I bought!

I got to meet the Nester yesterday!!! Me, Sassyseamstress and another devoted "groupie" went to the Those Creative Women holiday shopping thing hosted by the ever so talented in the kitchen girl Kendra. We were all giddy with excitement on the way there. I had brought her a holiday gift wrapped box of cookies and was so nervous to give them to her. Well, we walked in and there she was...the Nester! She welcomed us right in and the coversation just flowed. Her tassels are AMAZING! Honestly, on the way there I was really not thinking that I would buy a tassel. I was thinking where would I put it? But, then I saw them and wanted ALL of them!!! I purchased this lovely Chocolate brown (he looks good enought to eat!) Santa on top of blue and brown bows and fringe...perfect finishing touch for the dining room. My girls went home with a collection as well. Then it was on to the kitchen to sample granola, scones and truffles and meet Kendra. Another amazing woman! After the kitchen stop we all decided to sign up soon for some of her kitchen classes. So, check out her schedule at http://www.myfirstkitchen.com/ and contact me if you want to go. We are forming a group to go together. Well, last stop of course was to get a quick photo with the Nester and be on our way. Oh yes, I did forget to mention that he sister Emily was there as well. I've been a fan of her blog for awhile too. She is the most amazing self taught photographer!!! It was a lovely day!!! I'm so blessed to have such wonderful women in my life.

When I got home to and hurried to find a home for my tassel, I then discovered all kinds of wonderful places that could use a tassel. But, I only had one! Bummer!

I can't sign off without a brag...I did get a mention on Nester's blog for my cookies and a wonderful e-mail from Kendra on the cookies too! Thanks girls....it means alot!

Ok, I saw the Nester say Dough Nut, and I knew it was you. Yea.....I was at the Holiday Market...way too much work, not nearly as much fun, but that is where you could really clean house girl.....you could make some money. But how many would you have to sell just to break even . The booth is $550-650. That's a lot of cookies. :)

Hey there. Came over from reviewing some Nester posts that I had missed over the last few weeks. I laughed out loud when you said that you needed to name your Kitchen Aid. I too have a named Kitchen Aid. "Kitty" as I call her. I guess her full legal name is Kitty Anne, but it sounds so formal that most of the time, I just refer to her as Kitty! Hope that this inspired you to come up with a name... :) Actually, I have a really great story about my "Kitty" that you should read....(http://odetocreativity.blogspot.com/2008/10/meet.html) Nice to meet you!
