Last year I painted a section of my back hallway that leads from the garage into the house with 6 layers of magnet paint and then 2 layers of chalkboard paint. I would magnet all the artwork up and write notes to myself. Well, I was getting a little tired of the disorganization and chalk dust the other day so.....
I painted over it and painted the coat hanger with black spray paint. I also repainted all the baseboards and door frames white to freshen it all up. Remember I am painting all my baseboards in 2009. So far I've done the back hallway, laundry room, middle hallway and 1/2 bath!
I also put together this cute dry erase calendar! I bought a 16 x 20 frame at Michaels for $9.99 I bought the custom made vinyl sticker from Etsy from Say It With Style for $14.00 and I affixed to the back of the glass in the frame, leaving the front of the glass as a dry erase calendar! I'm now organized without the chalk dust. Also, the wall is still magnetized so I can use magents to affix anything I need to the wall.

love the dry erase calendar! Very cute! Pretty sad when I look at your pictures on here instead of walking across the street huh. let me know when the shelves are done. I want to walk over!

I want to tell you I love the new hallway. You did good. I want to know how you got your walls magnitized? Did you use a paint? I am a lover of magnet anything so I am sooooo curious. I do vinyl so I am so making myself a calendar, you are a genious.

They make magnet paint and you can get it at Home Depot or Lowes. I must warn you though, I painted about 6 coats on the wall. Ialso had to special order science magnets from the web b/c all other did not hold much up.
It will be magnetized forever!
